Community Services has the overall aim of developing strategic programmes directed towards young people, members of the traveller community, residents of local authority estates, and rural communities hoping to develop sustainable projects. The entire programme can be reviewed by consulting the

Objective
1:
To develop a model for the delivery of Early School Leaving Prevention Programmes built on a consortium of schools and community groups and to extend that model throughout the County Wexford Partnership
Area
Objective 2:
To work through the Youth services and the Rural Youth Forum to develop the capacity of Youth services and groups to provide for the needs of Youth At Risk between 16 and 18 years who have left school early
Objective 3:
To develop a Model Sustainable Rural
Community in the Raheen, Clonroche, Newbawn community and to extend the
learning from this to other targeted rural communities
Objective 4: To work with Wexford County Council,
the UDC’s and the local community to identify and support estate management in targeted public housing estates
Objective 5:
To support capacity building measures for Travellers which enable them to participate in activities which address their accommodation,
education, training and quality of life needs
